If your looking to make a website and you have no experience with the process a website builder will be the easiest way. Although WordPress offers a huge amount of customisation, it can be difficult to learn. So we have put together a list of website builders, what ones are good and what ones are good for certain needs.
Shopify
This platform is made specifically for selling online. It covers literally everything you need to start selling your products online as well as helping you grow. It also comes with a number of add-ons to help you in pretty much any way you need. From POS systems to marketing and more.
The only downside of Shopify is that its quite expensive at £25 a month and many of the addons are also quite pricey. But if you want no hassle and a quick and easy way to set up your store Shopify is 100% the place to go.
Squarespace
If you are looking for a sophisticated, sleek and modern looking website Squarespace is the website builder for you. They have created a platform that is super easy to use, it allows you to create a website that has a similar look and feel to Apple.
They have the best blogging, podcasting, audio players and photo galleries of any website builder (in my opinion). On top of that, their eCommerce is a viable alternative to pure ecommerce website builders such as Shopify. Its pricing is also very reasonable.
Wix
Its the most popular website builder on the market, and well-established, hosting more than 100 million users worldwide. There’s a reason so many people use it. It’s very simple and easy to use. The customization options are almost endless. And you can tweak your site in a matter of seconds with their easy to navigate drag and drop features.
You can build just about any site imaginable with Wix software. These include typical eCommerce features that support multiple different payment methods, but it also includes a customizable music player, video uploads to the media gallery, events with invitations and bookings, even online ordering for restaurants.
Constant Contact
Fully-functional online store in free plan – not offered by any other website builder on this list.
There A.I. powered website builder can sync with your Facebook page, and within minutes, it will automatically pull in photos, branding, and posts from your page to your website.
Constant Contact website builder was relatively easy and simple to use. It’s fairly intuitive, and the templates are modern. You can simply click on a page element to bring up customization options.
CTCT gives its users a free domain name for the first year without forcing any ads on your site under any plan, either.
The dedicated customer support team is just a phone call away, with chat and email support 24/7. We tested Live Chat and answers came instantly. They were helpful throughout, answering our (many) questions in personal detail. They didn’t just link out to a bunch of support docs and force us to manually comb through, looking for a needle in a haystack. Very positive experience!

Of course, there are many more website builders available, many of them are built into hosting plans like GoDaddy website builder and 1and1 builder. I didn’t include these in this list because they simply aren’t as good as others. They are often don’t have many features and most of the time they charge extra for stuff like online stores.
This list is in our opinion the best builders available.
